Translating to “wave” in Japanese, the Nami LED Linear Suspension from Kundalini stays true to its name with a refractive glass diffuser underlined by its easy curve. Design duo Alberto Saggia & Valerio Sommella put formal, material, technological and functional innovation at the center of each piece. The piece represents the duo’s refined contemporary visual language. This sense of refinement shows in the fine, near-disappearing quality of the wire suspension. The piece appears both bold and light by pairing metal and glass. The outer metal structure gives the piece its sharp silhouette while the glass softens things up with its pleasant arch. The striations marking the glass present the LED light with a spacious and mellow quality. This long sweeping glow is ideal for the table setting.
