This is a good looking lamp for a reasonable price. Was happy to find that it does indeed bend forward and back AND pivot at the base from right to left, which makes it it useful for reading. On/off switch also handy; it dims from the wall switch.

I bought two of these for my bedside lights when we remodeled our home. I absolutely love how they look, and had them professionally installed. However, since day one, the hinges where the arms articulate have not held, Causing the lights to fall down and slam into the wall, chipping the paint repeatedly. Unfortunately, I waited too long to contact Lumens (life got busy, and we just stopped trying to adjust the lights and live with it) and they offered me no compensation, even though the lights were only installed nine months ago. I Would not purchase these lights again, nor will I be working with Lumens again.

Very good buy at the price

We were looking for two hard-wired wall lamps that could be adjusted both vertically and horizontally, and we wanted them generally to look like this one. I was surprised that this lamp, one of the least expensive adjustable, swing-arm, sconces, was the only costing less than $500 that could be adjusted in both dimensions. I even had Gladys, the sales rep with whom I spoke, double check. Horizontal adjustment is a little tricky, but it can be done.

Looks nice, but doesn't mount firmly to the wall. Needs a sturdier bracket. One lamp arm actually snapped as a professional electrician was installing it. Cheap material.
