A contemporary creation from Cutu Matazuelos and Eva Prego of Stone Designs, it draws on their experience with both commercial design and industrial illumination to create something with a strong structure and a memorable silhouette. This Japanese-inspired design ascends from a disc base, extending a single slender arm up and over to a slim cord that descends to a circular canopy holding strong lamping inside a slightly flared, rounded diffuser of blown glass with a matte opal finish that suggests a lantern shape, extending a warm wash of light in all directions.

B.lux was started in 1981 in Markina in Spain's Basque Country on the Northern Iberian Peninsula. To this day, they still operate in the region from the picturesque town of Gizaburuaga, in facilities which contain warehousing, manufacturing and a 2,000 square-foot showroom.
