An inviting presence, whether it’s turned or not. Brighten, freshen, and style up your rooms with the Metro 52-Inch Ceiling Fan with Light from Hinkley Lighting. It takes a page from classic modern design, presenting itself in clean shapes with rich materials. It charms with a group of wood blades, each crafted in a soft, clean shape. The blades cut through the air with the help of a powerful yet efficient AC engine. Let a generous breeze sweep across the room or toggle a comforting upsurge with the neat pull switch. You can tailor the feel of the breeze thanks to a 3-speed setting. The piece also helps you set an ambiance with a radiant LED light. The light softens up through an etched opal glass dome for an easy on the eyes experience.

Son loves the fan and remote
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
We ceiling mounted the fan with the remote controller in the ceiling canopy piece. Installation was fairly straight forward. We mounted the safety wire in the attic. We made sure that the ceiling box was fan qualified. There is a fair amount of small screws, some pre-installed; be careful what is removed, loosened or used. Some are only loosened, some removed, some in a bag to be used. We really enjoy the power of the fan. It has three speeds, plus reverse direction switch. The remote light control is on/off, no dimming. The remote allows a standard 2 wire circuit to support separate fan and light operation.

Fan hums loudly
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Love the look of the fan. However it "hums" very loudly compared to all other fans in my home. Support tech said it needed balancing but that hasn't helped.

Pull chain does not operate fan speed adjustment properly
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
The pull chain does not operate the fan speeds properly. Sometimes the chain will not even turn on or increase or slow the blades. I've had to turn the wall switch on and off to get the fan to work (after trying to adjust the speeds with the chain). But controlling the fan speeds with the pull chain is ineffective. I've come to just leave it on the speed I can get to work and not try and adjust it.

We put three of these in our kids bedrooms! Such an amazing difference in each room! They operate really quietly and look great!

Looks great in our dining area
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It's a beautiful fan and my electricians had no trouble installing it. Light is fine for our table and so are the fan speeds. The pull chain to control the fan, however, is awkwardly threaded through a hole on the side of the glass dome covering the light. This makes it awkward to pull the chain to switch fan speeds or turn it off. It's hard to tell whether we've pulled the chain hard enough to switch a mode. As it's about to be winter, this won't be a problem again until next year.
