The Alien Pendant from In Common With is a striking, memorable construction that boldly goes between contemporary simplicity and artisanal modern individuality. A space-age fusion of steel and ceramic, its astral form appears to hover when lit from below, the radiant ambiance showcasing minute differences in each shade’s construction, taking on the look of a vibrant flying saucer, equipped for any indoor environment with a damp-rated lamp. While the fixture’s form is simple, the shades are made by individually draping slabs of clay over press molds, creating a signature shape with a unique texture that must be experienced to be believed.
