The Stem 2 Light Pendant from SkLO employs a tall, slender form to add artisanal ambiance to ceilings. Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak designed the simple structure to evoke a measure of Mid-Century Modern glamor. Handmade in the Czech Republic, it features a three-arm structure of rich brass that keeps powerful, damp-listed lamping inside spheres of handblown Czech glass. Each glass diffuser features the SkLO signature of double-dipped and flame-polished elements that meld to create a frosted texture enriched by slight vertical ridge accents, making the light it delivers unique.

SkLO

Located in Northern California, SkLO is the brainchild of artist Karen Gilbert, architect Paul Pavlak, and Czech-native Pavel Hanousek. The three met in Healdsburg in 2009, and after discovering a unanimous passion for hand-blown glass (sklo means “glass” in Czech), they decided to create a multi-disciplinary studio focusing on glass lighting and accessory design.
