The Marquise Optique Wall Sconce from Niche by Niche introduces a captivating and lavish atmosphere to upright surfaces. It artfully combines the understated elegance of a typical sconce style with the sophistication of meticulously crafted and linear-patterned blown glass. Designed by Jeremy Pyles, this sconce employs a robust rectangular metal mount to uphold the fixture. A solitary right-angled arm gracefully projects from the upper portion of a stepped, rectangular wall plate, extending downward to hold a single socket. A gracefully tapered shade made of handblown glass encircles the socket, embossed with subtle linear accents, and expertly transforms illumination into a restrained yet radiant glow with a touch of shadowed texture.

Niche

Niche was founded by accident. In 2003, Jeremy Pyles and Mary Welch were in the process of opening a home furnishings store in Manhattan, called Niche, but couldn't find inspiring display lighting for the storefront. So Pyles designed a glass pendant and had it custom blown in New York (where all Niche products are still hand-blown).
