Artisans pass a 'shuttle' back and forth across the warp, creating the weft, and a metal comb is then used to compact the wefts. By using varying yarns, simple geometric patterns and textures can be created, which do not require back binding, so the design is visible on both sides of the rug. The rug is made from New Zealand wool for superior softness and is made in India for high-quality craftsmanship.
