The light fixtures look exactly like in the photos. The red 'cap' is one unified color but depending upon the angle you're looking at it, the angular design makes one half of the 'disc' darker than the other, immediately creating interest and intrigue. I installed them as sconces over the staircase in my loft and they look great. One thing slightly disappointing is the material - it's just plastic, even the base, but if you don't touch it, it looks beautiful :). I also must say the delivery of these was delayed twice and they finally arrived actually a few weeks earlier than the second revised date, so some sort of a win, but then i'm pretty sure these were returns as one had all of the parts just thrown inside the box willy-nilly and one had a lightbulb included, while the other didn't. So a bit random, but overall - they look fantastic. I have 800lm bulbs in them because the front disc is not translucent - only the white part behind it - so you need a slightly brighter bulbs to achieve a desired lighting effect, they dim perfectly as well. #Sweepstakes
