The Seki-han LED Floor Lamp from FLOS is an engaging, linear design by Tobia Scarpa, named after a traditional Japanese rice dish reserved for special occasions. Made in Italy, its clean contemporary lines showcase Scarpa's mastery of design and woodworking, with a central column of efficient LEDs sandwiched between slender ash wood blades atop a textured black iron base with a chrome accent collar. The blades are shaped using naval techniques, rotating smoothly to form a wide cone or a narrow line as desired, and contrast artfully with the refined metalwork.
