The Lita Pendant from Luceplan presents an enduring design, handcrafted and imagined, with images of familiar luminaires in mind. In creating, David Dolcini seeks the magic in each piece by balancing complexities with essential elements. This piece begins essentially with a clean canopy and a graceful cord suspension. The pendant rounds below as an opaque globe by blown by hand. Artisans give the globe a series of vertical slits that remind one of traditional oriental lanterns. These slits produce a clean, calm silhouette. Light gives the globe a golden hue and travels through it for a rich ambiance.
