The Labra Wall Sconce from Matthew McCormick Studio celebrates the artful quality of nature with an organic ornamental design to appreciate both day and night. Creator Matthew McCormick's work seeks to capture the wondrous moment of seeing forms transformed with light. Here, McCormick honors the distinctive tones and texture of European alabaster. Master artisans treat the alabaster like the precious material that it is by hand-chiseling it with clean, sweeping curves. Creating intriguing tension at their meeting point, the 2 alabaster forms reveal their personality as moody ambient light silhouettes with artful veining.
