I really like the sixties vibe- classic aged brass set off by the pale beige (metal) shade. They are a good size and well made. All together, they have a lot of presence. The one big problem is the squat socket means a terrible amount of glare no matter what type of bulb is used. I replaced the socket with an E26 candelabra socket and cover. That put the bulb up behind the shade and eliminated the glare. (It was a 20-minute fix for the pair, no tools required.)
