#sweepstakes. I have had these kettles since it first came out in the '80s. However, the bird whistle can barely be heard. I bought it because I need warning that kettle is still on and needs to be turned off. This is a problem......

Exceptionally functional and classy looking

This tea kettle heats up more quickly that all of the other models I have owed over the years. It is also lighter and this makes it perfect for making pour overs. The style is unique and it is pleasing to look at. It deserves the special attention and care that is recommended, such a pouring out water each day to keep calcium build up.
Great service

It was so easy to buy from Y Lighting. They had the exact product we were looking for, it was delivered in a timely manner, even considering the world we live in right now. Thank you
Beautiful Kettle
I have my original kettle, which is almost exactly the same, from 1985. The mirror finish wore off and I decided to replace it with a new one. I tried others and there were problems with them such as rusting, needing to be dried after each and every use, etc. My new Alessi has a problem. When the metal heats up, it expands and I can not remove the cover until it cools down and contracts back to its original (snug) fit. I am hoping to have the cover replaced with a better fitting one or to return the kettle for a new one. As stated, I've had this Alessi bird whistle kettle for 33 years and have never gotten tired of it. It always worked beautifully. I've replaced the bird whistle that wore out several times. I was upset when the finish wore off, but I'm still hoping to have the kettle, in a new form, in my life forever. Now I hope customer service comes through for me. . .
Alessi
These household goods are born somewhere quite exquisite, somewhere between manufacturing and art. In the last 90 years, three generations of Alessi (Giovanni, Carlo, Alberto) have creatively led the company, through changes in materials (brass to stainless steel) and styles (from formal to clever and modern).
