The J82 Lounge Chair from FDB Møbler belongs to Jørgen Bækmark's woven furniture series that extends back to the brand's 1950s period. Bækmark led the design studio from 1958 and developed pieces distinguished by their refined appearance and construction methods that support extended sitting. The J82 functions as both lounge seating and a freestanding chair, with proportions that balance visual lightness against structural requirements. The combination of woven surfaces with solid framing creates textural contrast throughout the piece.

FDB Møbler

Based in Albertslund, Denmark, FDB Møbler remains a torchbearer of timeless Danish design—producing sustainable, high-quality furniture intended to endure both physically and stylistically for generations. In 1942, amid a world dominated by heavy, ornate furnishings accessible only to the privileged few, a quiet revolution began in Denmark.
