Inspired by the timeless elegance of late 19th and early 20th-century design, Hudson Valley Lighting specializes in crafting classic fixtures that beautifully echo historical charm. Founded in 1985 by David Littman in Newburgh, New York, Hudson Valley Lighting has built a family legacy spanning three generations in the lighting industry.
Using traditional manufacturing techniques, the brand faithfully reproduces vintage lighting and restoration-style pieces that feel just as at home in soft contemporary spaces as industrial lofts. Known for meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, Hudson Valley Lighting remains committed to sustainable practices through energy-efficient designs and eco-conscious manufacturing. conic products like the Pelham Pendant and Haverhill Pendant are celebrated for their classic aesthetic and versatility, making them standout choices for designers and homeowners alike.
The familial passion for lighting was sparked when David's grandfather, captivated by the innovation of fluorescent lighting at the 1939 New York World's Fair, began selling fixtures out of his Brooklyn garage. This entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to quality continue to define Hudson Valley Lighting today, which has expanded its influence through partnerships with respected sister brands such as Troy Lighting, Corbett Lighting, and CSL.
With a thoughtful approach to design, seamlessly blending functionality and timeless elegance, Hudson Valley Lighting designs bring warmth, authenticity, and sophistication into the spaces they inhabit.
