Key Features
Inspired by the discoveries and personalities of the astronomical revolution. Named after the Italian astronomer, the DT Studio-designed Galileo Pendant from Il Fanale leaves one over the moon for its refined silhouette, spacious glow, and rich finishes. The pendant’s collection of hemispheres resembles those seen in an astronomical chart. Both the domed canopy and shade share a textured antique exterior that gives a nod to a planet’s rocky surface. The generous dome shade appears to float in the air with the help of a fine cable suspension. Lamping hides inside the shade’s curvy, metallic interior for reduced side glare. A flip of the switch sends down a wide pass of soft illumination.
Founded in 1979, Il Fanale uses over 40 years of experience to bring high-quality fixtures to the home. Started by Fausto Dalla Torre and his wife Luisa, each Il Fanale piece showcases a unique and unrepeatable look with a special oxidation process and materials such as brass, copper and glass. From 2015, Marzia and Tomas Dalla Torre run the company, bringing a new Mediterranean style to the product line.

A measurement of the power delivered to a component of an electric circuit (allowing a one-ampere current to flow through the component under the pressure of 1 volt.)Bulb Shape
Bulb shapes are denoted with a letter, which describes the shape, and a number, which indicates the size. The number indicates the diameter of the light bulb at its widest part in eighths of an inch.Base
The part of the bulb that connects to the fixture and its power supply. Bulb bases are denoted with the letter E, and a number which indicates the diameter of the bulb base at its widest part in millimeters.Voltage
Indicates how much voltage a bulb can accept via the fixture it's installed in.Light Color Temperature
The relative color from a light source, measured on the Kelvin temperature scale. Warm light is lower in color temperature (2700-3000 K) and cool, blue light is higher (5000 K).Average Rated Life
The average amount time that a bulb is expected to last.CRI
CRI = color rendering index. This number, which can go from 0 to 100, measures the ability of a light or bulb accurately renders colors.
