The Formakami JH5 Pendant by &Tradition is from the mind of Spanish artist and designer Jamie Hayon and was inspired by the variety of paper lanterns that have been created throughout history. Capturing the emotional and cultural significance these sources of light hold in people’s lives, this pendant challenges convention with an openly formed bottom. Designed with an optimistic view, this airy piece was created to convey the idea that light chases away darkness and that everyone in the world could use a little more illumination.     &Tradition

    In 2008, Martin Kornbek Hansen and his wife, Nadja, founded the design brand Unique Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark to produce modern lighting, furniture and accessories. In 2010, Hansen changed the name to &Tradition, to place better emphasis on the company's design goal: bringing Nordic tradition and heritage into modern design, and to bridge the values between the two.
