The Firenze Chandelier from Maxim Lighting is a transitional fixture with leafy, curving arms rising upward to hold spiraling, ribbed globes. Its swirled pattern draws on Italian glassworking traditions, giving the piece a mid-century modern sense of movement as light passes through each shade. Made from steel, glass, and aluminum, the fixture is finished in hand-applied gold leaf, adding warmth and texture throughout. It works well in dining rooms and entryways with higher ceilings, where its branching form can be fully appreciated.

Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
