The Koncept Equo Gen 3 Floor Lamp has a discreet counterweight design for stand-alone adjustable illumination. Slide your finger along the stem's touch strip to control brightness and power. The neck joint maintains the head's tilt as the arm swings up or down. The shade rotates 180 degrees and is detachable for easy replacement.

Good Lighting Solution

I bought the Equo Gen to solve a lighting problem in my office. I ordered the black finish with the warm 3500K light. The quality of the light is good for reading and desk work. The design is very sleek and the lighting arm moves smoothly with good counterbalance. The intensity of the light is sufficient to illuminate a 3 foot span of a desk. Unlike a lamp with a shade, this light is directional, so you'll want another light on in the room. My only critique is that the power cord attaches to the unit about 2/3's of the way up the vertical stand. Given the sleek design, the manufacturer should provide a better solution.

I purchased this as a chair side reading lamp because of its light level and position adjustments. It was easy to assemble and looks sharp in black. Despite another reviewers complaint about the power cord, while it does attach 2/3 of the way up, it neatly tucks into a groove as far down toward the base as you choose and is held in place with provided plastic stays. It's also a very long cord, which is a plus. My only (minor) complaint would be that the lamp head rotation is limited by the joint when it's pointed down past even with the arm as it folds into itself a bit. Other than that, I'm quite happy with it.

Great reading lamp but needs fine tuning for drooping head.

Interesting lamp with modern energy saving design but there is a problem with my lamp that probably is fixed with further production units, but you can't go wrong with the warranty and customer service with yLighting. Retro kit to fix lamp is on the way.

nice modern floor lamp

Excellent modern floor lamp, good construction and was well packaged. Setup took a few minutes but was straight-forward. The adjusting mechanism is really nice and lightweight as advertised. The light is good enough for reading but not strong enough for generally lighting a room.
