We bought one, and then went back and bought a 2nd one. I love the tap on and off at the top. Not sure how long it lasts but it seems to hold a charge for a long time before needing to be recharged inside. My only complaint is that it is only 300 lumens of brightness, so as an outdoor reading lamp it is a bit weak. But it is the brightest I could find of outdoor cordless lamps. It's really best for general illumination. It's also cute and fun.

While the lamp has a simple pleasing design, it is functionally unstable. Trying to turn it on and off, or dimming it, is a struggle and can take many minutes of tapping; very frustrating. Lately, I've found that turning it upside down may reduce the time needed to find just the right spot where it'll turn on when tapped. A very disappointing purchase!

I have so enjoyed using this lamp outside at night. It gives off a great glow and it is easy to carry around.
