Founded in 1947, Mepra is deeply rooted in the legacy of the Prandelli family, whose entrepreneurial journey began in 1901 in Italy’s Lumezzane Valley. The company was originally established to harness the kinetic energy of the River Gobbia, powering machinery for their first venture in manufacturing. During World War I, the company pivoted to produce bullets for the Italian Army, but as the war ended, the Prandelli family transformed their business into something new. With this shift, the three sons of Giovanbattista Prandelli, Pietro, Felice, and Giacomo, launched Metallurgica Prandelli, or Mepra, with a focus on producing stainless steel flatware. From those early innovations, Mepra has become synonymous with the finest Italian craftsmanship and modern design, growing into a global brand that exports premium kitchen, table, and decor products to prestigious hotels, award-winning restaurants, and homes around the world.
