Contemporary aesthetic and construction. The Downtown Mesh Indoor Wall Sconce from Hammerton Studio is a slight departure from the standard open mesh aesthetic, with thin stripes of metal woven together. The steel used to create the rectangular mesh shade is steel that's strong enough that it has earned the nickname "rock crusher screen." It is woven by hand from skilled artisans, who give it a rugged since that's simultaneously airy and elegant.
