Doughnut C Floor Lamp

I bought this lamp for a client and they really like it. It isn't as heavy as I would've liked for the price but has a nice look and fits well by their chair and ottoman for reading.

We had been dealing with inadequate light for a long time in our guest room/office because there seemed not to be room for 2 lamps . These C-shaped lamps solved the problem perfectly. The shades are oriented with the narrow side forward; the bases slip partially under the sofa, while the posts are angled out of the way. The easy-to-buy medium base halogen bulbs cast a very nice light through the linen shade for task lighting on the the sofa and to light the room. The lamp takes 2 bulbs up to 100 watts (equivalent) each. The 2 bulbs can't be operated independently but they can be adjusted to 2 levels, brighter and less. The on/off/dimmer control is up near the bulbs, so it's easy to reach from the sofa.

We bought this lamp to provide both task lighting next to our sofa, and also, ample ambient lighting for the living room, which is part of a large open floor plan and has very high ceilings in which light is readily swallowed up. Doughnut C took on that task with grace, and does not look heavy or obtrusive .We are pleased with our choice and the lamp has received compliments.

The Doughnut C Floor Lamp we purchased from Lumens.com was beautiful, and came safely packaged. However, the lamp proved too small in scale for the space we intended it for, and we were forced to return the product.
