A luminous display of molten handblown glass, the Dew Wall Sconce by SkLO is an expressive piece designed by Paul Pavlak and Karen Gilbert. Driven by the desire to showcase the skill and artistry of sculpted Czech glass, the duo created this piece with the unpredictable nature of liquid glass in mind. A circular wallplate fastens the piece in place while a slender brass tube drops to a layered, dripping glass form containing its light source at its end.

SkLO

Located in Northern California, SkLO is the brainchild of artist Karen Gilbert, architect Paul Pavlak, and Czech-native Pavel Hanousek. The three met in Healdsburg in 2009, and after discovering a unanimous passion for hand-blown glass (sklo means “glass” in Czech), they decided to create a multi-disciplinary studio focusing on glass lighting and accessory design.
