Denglong LED Outdoor Pendant

The Denglong LED Outdoor Pendant by Parachilna is part of a tough and ambitious collection from Shanghai-based interdisciplinary design practice, Neri&Hu. Directly translated, the name of this piece means “light cage” and is also a Chinese term for a lantern. Traditionally used to mark the entry of a house, lanterns are significant in Chinese culture as a symbol of family and home. Reinterpreting this traditional form, a fiberglass shade echoes the soft shape of these structures and is placed within a metal, caged shell to filter a welcoming layer of illumination.
