The Crown Plana Mega Suspension by Nemo showcases a symmetrical and sculptural design that has the potential to create a distinctive focal point in your living spaces, dining halls, or foyers. Taking inspiration from nature, designers Jehs and Laub have this honeycomb-shaped frame that also looks like the outline of a snow crystal. Its ends feature cylindrical-shaped structures that are topped with tubular diffusers and conceal a halogen bulb each. This frame is crafted from die-casted aluminum, while the shades are made of sandblasted glass.
Founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini in Italy, Nemo was established to recreate the lighting pieces that best represented the "Golden Age" of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 70s. Nemo acquired ItalianaLuce five years later, offering a line of clean, relaxed modern lighting that provided an informal counterpoint to the vintage mid-century authenticity found in Nemos modernist line of Franco Albini-designed lighting.
