A whimsical design sure to make a strong statement in your home. The Crescent Light Pendant by Lee Broom features a brushed brass fascia that pops between the bisected sphere. The two halves of the sphere are constructed from opal acrylic, which softens the light from the bulb within and fills your space with ambient light. Its off-kilter form and segmented lighting are pleasantly unsettling, commanding attention and admiration from across the room.
Mastering multiple design disciplines, Lee Broom is heavily inspired by the history of British design, from both a decorative and manufacturing perspective. His work regularly references his homeland’s past, though just as regularly offers a slight subversion of those traditional motifs and techniques in his contemporary recontextualizations. Since 2010, he's been collecting British Design Awards on a regular basis, including recognition in 2011 as Designer of the Year and a 2012 nod for his Crystal Bulb, a modern reframing of traditional cut crystal craftsmanship.
