This is a beautiful fan. The blades are made of actual wood (or at least it looks and feels that way) and it is whisper quiet and very effective. (I've had it now for two weeks.) I had an electrician install it, because I wanted it hardwired to my wall switch, so I can't say anything about ease of installation. Strongly recommend. #sweepstakes
