Very good-looking and effective fan. A bit more noisy that my old Casablanca fan. The control switch is high to low rather than low to high. Not a good design.

I have a 1950's home with low ceilings in the bedrooms. I chose the PURE LED fan because of its hugger style and clean aesthetic. It also had to have a light and wall switch. I went with white to blend with the ceiling. Details: Value: Excellent. Best priced fan for what you get. Performance: Whisper quiet with 4 speeds that are appropriate for a bedroom. The light is a bright and warm, and has a dimmer. Wall switch: Clunky design but functional. My household tends to loose remotes, so I prefer wall controls. The fan comes with a wall switch, but you can buy a receiver and remote. Reverse feature: The reverse feature is NOT on the wall control as described on Lumen's website. It is located on the collar of the fan at the ceiling. I'll need a step ladder to toggle the switch for Reverse. Installation: Earlier reviews forewarned that this fan requires a 3rd wire for the wall switch. Most older homes do not have the 3rd wire. I hired an electrician to do the installations (2 fans) and run the necessary wires. My electrician loved the fans and suggested that I order the optional receiver and remote in order to save the costs to run the wires. But I needed a wall switch and paid for the wiring. #sweepstakes

Ultimately the fan is lovely. It is not however an easy fan to install and it does not come with a remote. We paid a lot to get it installed and operable with a remote. Once in, the light is great and the fan does its job.
