Black version is not as pictured.

I have the Rose Gold version already in our house and we love them so purchased the black version for another project. I'm writing this review to flag that the black version is indeed matte black, something I overlooked because I went off of the product image. Still on the edge about returning for the gunmetal or chrome so I get that added dimension I love from this fixture. Bola should correct their product image. But otherwise love this light.

Very well made fixture with ingenious design makes installation easy. Product is very well packed, and includes white gloves for fingerprint and smear-free installation of the mirror-finished metal disk. We mounted ours (XL size) on a ceiling without difficulty, and it transforms the space. Light is dimmable. I would prefer a warmer color bulb, but it is not really a cold blue like other fixtures and some LEDs.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

After getting his degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati in 1986, he designed for companies ranging from Fisher Price to Daimler Chrysler before settling in San Francisco. There he founded Pablo Designs in 1993, a lighting company specializing in refined designs that reinterpret light in its many forms.
