Inspired by kitchen tools he saw on a trip to Japan, designer Valerio Sommella came home to Italy and created the Alessi Boga Ginger Grater. It is made out of high-grade ANSI 430 matte steel in the shape of a fish. Such a design makes it both whimsical and exceptionally comfortable in the hand when performing the task of grating ginger root.

Alessi, known as the Italian design factory, has manufactured household products since 1921. The stylish and fun items offered are the result of contemporary partnerships with some of the world's best designers of unique and modern home accessories.
