Arco LED Floor Lamp

I purchased this several weeks ago after looking at several cheaper knock-offs of the original Castiglioni design. The finish and marble base are excellent. I have found only two shortcomings: (1) the assembly instructions are abysmal; a French assembly video is entertaining but does not provide additional helpful detail. Manipulation of the electrical cord within the arc channel is problematic, and required that I disassemble and revise twice, (2) the 3-D arc is off-center at largest arc, requiring placement of the marble base at an angle to position the lighting element in the proper position.

This lamp makes quite the impression. It's more impressive than I expected: marble is beautiful, shade and light source are excellent quality, and the overall scale is truly grand. Of course for this price tag you'd expect nothing less, but I've been surprised with other high-end items in the past. I will say that the arm (arc) is delicate. Don't put this in a place where people (or pets) will likely hit or come into frequent contact with the arc. It's solidly made, but does sway and seems slender. I found it hard to find details about the dimmer so here is some quick info: it's a foot on/off switch that turns on at 100% brightness; a second click of the switch puts it at 50%; you can also hold down the button to go from 100% to 10% and then back up; every time you turn on the light it starts at 100%. This is an iconic piece that makes the intended statement. Beautiful form and function in one.

Lumens was fast and efficient about ordering and releasing the product. Where the process failed was shipping. Do not buy products if the use AGS shipping company.

this arco version is updated with LED light. it offers a stronger light and is lovely in high ceiling space.
