Sculptural work of art, pleasant light

This is an extremely attractive and sculptural lamp that entices the eye with the seemingly weightless "petals" that make up the shade. In person the shade is more obviously a kind of plastic or paper like material than photos otherwise suggest, but it is still extremely eye-catching. A bit challenging to assemble at first, but once you understand the pattern, it's no problem. The tripod is a bit flimsy; and I disagree with the design decision to have the power cord hang directly down from the middle of the tripod. It is visually distracting and I would have preferred not to have to see it hanging there.
