The fan is adequate but I feel the light is inadequate compared to the Minka fan/light combination that I previously had. Also seems from instructions that it will be an ordeal to change the lighting fixture should the light burn out.

Love look and performance

Although this fan comes with a wall unit to adjust operation, I worked with Minka to order a receiver and RC211 remote. The electrician easily installed the receiver in the top of the fan and the remote works perfectly. It was super helpful as we have an older home and running the 3rd wire to the wall unit would have been near impossible. The fan has better illumination than the Minka Sabot and the light bulb is a much better option for me that the integrated lighting found in many fans. The fan has a transitional/modern clean look. Its performance has been great. Highly recommend. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on its features is because you can not switch fan directions from the remote. The fan has a switch on the body of the fan. It is not a big deal for me because I clean the fans 2x a year spring and fall and use that time to switch downward and upward flow for the seasons. Lumens was great with whom to work and had competitive prices.

Solid construction, modern, all white fans.

I purchased these to replace the existing fans in the bedrooms in my home. The fans are certainly an upgrade, and the quality shows. The installer was impressed with the quality as well. My house was built in 1938, and installing a 3rd wire to the existing switch box was prohibitive, and adding another with plaster walls was also out of the question. I was not able to use the MinkaAire switch plates, but found some "remote" wall switches by Lutron that look even better. Variable speed fan, with reverse option on the motor, and smooth dimmable halogen light. With white walls, and Scandinavian / Mod vibe, these blend well. They are just as pictured, though I would say not quite as stark white.

Best Fan Ever

When shopping for a fan, the big retailers didn't have many modern options. Although this fan is more expensive than those options, it was exactly what we were looking for and well worth the money.
