beautiful design
Ordered and installed 4 sconces in cherry for living room. Really makes the room stylish and sophisticated.
It's a great looking light depending on where you hang it.
I have two problems with this light. First, I didn't realize it only comes in flourescent & so it makes a buzzing noise that I don't like to hear especially by my bed. Secondly, if you look at it from the side, you see all of it's guts which definitely takes away from the beauty of the piece. If you're going to hang it where you won't see it from the side, it will look beautiful.
Stylish but with some issues
Very stylish, but you must be careful about the height at which you install them because the bulb is visible if you put them higher than eye level. My wires were higher than eye level, so the bulb glared in my eyes - we had to mount them upside down (which didn't look bad at all) in order to avoid seeing the bulb. The bad thing is that the screws on the backplate are exposed in a way that makes the quality look lower. Also, only uses CFL bulbs, which cannot be dimmed. I didn't know that when I ordered, but these can't be returned. I already ordered other sconces to replace these.
