The 2 Inch X Base Round Cafe Table from Emeco is a balanced piece, layering its shapes for great versatility around the home. Creator Jasper Morrison brings a ‘super normal’ design approach centered on shape, character, as well as tension, and expression. This table exudes character off the bat with a strong x-shaped base. The rounded notes of this base carry into the cylindrical column and the circular tabletop. A metal construction gives the column and base a smooth, modern look. The circular table top makes it easy to pull up a chair and gather around with a low profile.

Emeco

Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
