Comments about Sparkle Side Table
This would be a cool end table, but unfortunately, mine arrived yesterday with two large cracks. I had ordered this seven weeks prior, so after much anticipation, I was pretty disappointed. Lumens customer service was great, though -- I opted for a refund, because replacement would be another delay (it almost seems like it's made to order; every retailer I found has a shipping date that's at least 6 weeks out). I love the look of this, but I think I'll just try a different table. #sweepstakes
pleasantly surprised
Much better in person than on the web. Nice durable, smooth plastic. It's like looking through cut glass in the sunlight. It has a little heft even. I got the amber which would fit in a lot of decors I think. I also got a free promotional Kartell clock!
Kartell
Based in Milan, Italy, Kartell was founded in 1949 by chemical engineer Giulio Castelli and his wife, architect Anna Castelli. Originally a producer of car accessories, it was Kartell's experimentation in plastics for the home that made them famous. Stylish home accessories and lighting dominated the 1950s, with the first injection-molded furniture emerging in the 1960s. Since then, the Kartell modern furniture line has only continued to grow, including contemporary chairs, tables, sofas and more--all made out of durable, lightweight and surprisingly comfortable plastic.
