Very architectural fixture, used for indirect light in a room corner

WHAT I LOVE + 3,000 lumens of indirect light, which is hard to find. Most indirect lighting fixtures are not designed to provide significant amounts of illumination. + Works well with either an inexpensive inline potentiometer or the pricey Lutron DVELV-300P wall switch dimmer recommended by the manufacturer. There is faint hum when the light is dimmed down to 10%, but it's tolerable. + The exterior finish can be painted to match your wall color, creating a floating effect. Unpainted it sill looks polished and finished. WHAT I DON'T LOVE - The 3000K color temperature. The product images suggest a faint yellow glow but it's pure, bright white. It tilts closer toward commercial or fluorescent light than the warm tone typically desired in a residence. We mitigated this by purchasing one Lee Filters Zircon Warm Amber 8 gel filter, cutting it to size, and inserting the strips on the interior side of the clear glass lenses. That brought the color temperature down to a much nicer 2700K with no noticeable loss of brightness. - The dimmer range. Supposedly it goes down to 10% but it seems more like 20%. I may be wrong about that but regardless, I wish it could be dimmed just a bit lower.

We had our electrician install this light on the back wall of our otherwise dark and cavelike living room. Its terrific. Brightens the entire room with reflected light from the back wall its mounted on. Does not interfere with the TV or computer screens.

These distinctive, simple fixtures get a lot of comments. They kick out enough light to be useful, not just decorative. We used them in an office and bedroom. Note it is a commercial fixture and the recommended switch is a 0-10V Lutron. We didn't use that. We originally tried a standard Lutron Caseta, but that buzzed. We switched to the Lutron Caseta ELV and it worked like a charm.
