By referencing soapy suds, design studio Chiaramonte & Marin shows their observational approach to design, one seeing everyday objects as industrial products. Here, the studio creates an industrial-modern tone with a minimalist base enhanced by a gorgeous finish. The top disc mimics the base’s finish to create an elegant frame around the charming glass. The metal shapes conceal the light source to draw one’s eyes to craftsmanship at play. Artisans hand-blow the glass shade into a reflection-filled bubble. Light streams across the glass and filters through as an indirect, atmospheric glow.
