The Plaff-on! Bi-Directional Outdoor LED Wall Sconce is a design by Joan Gaspar for Marset. Created a decade ago, the design is true to Gaspar’s focus on the marriage of artfulness to ingenuity. A blown glass diffuser seems to float as it sits inside waterproof housing, making it a perfect fit for either outdoor or indoor solutions. Integrated LED boasts eco-friendly quality via a long lifespan and low energy consumption. It’s an understated piece that still seems to exude luxury from every angle.

Marset

Marset was established in 1942 as a family business, not making lighting, but as a foundry. That foundation in casting metals did eventually segue into lighting design, however, with Francisco Marset formally establishing Marset Illuminacion in 1965. The decades spent experimenting with and molding metal translated well into the contemporary lighting industry: manipulating all kinds of materials to create unexpected, atmospheric lighting effects.
