A 1999 revision to the classic Panton chair--and the last version authorized by Verner Panton. The plastic in this model has been completely re-engineered and molded out of a single piece of dyed polypropylene. It also has a matte surface (the 1959/60 original version has a glossy finish). Finally...a Panton chair that realized one of its creator's primary objectives: a plastic chair as an affordable industrial product.

I've always wanted a Panton chair. Like the Elgin marbles, it's beautiful from every vantage point. And very comfortable to sit in. I'm using mine as a desk chair even though it's probably not precisely the right height for my keyboard. It gives me joy every time I sit in it - even if I'm paying bills. It arrived very promptly and carefully packed, without a scratch. Meets my high expectations!

These look absolutely beautiful with my rustic farm house dining table and provide the perfect touch of modern to balance the room. They are also extremely durable and easy to clean which was a top priority to me as I am the mom of three young boys.
