The Pantaya LED Pendant from Pablo takes the shape of a wide, shallow cone hung from two slim straps. Designed by Patricia Urquiola in collaboration with Haworth, it draws on high-performance tents and athletic wear. Made from recycled polyester, a one-piece 3D-knitted mesh is stretched over an aluminum chassis, hiding the LEDs and softening their glow. Its webbing suspension lets it hang level or tip to one side, aiming the fully dimmable light where needed.

Pablo Designs

Born in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo came to the US in the early 1980s and stayed. After getting his degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati in 1986, he designed for companies ranging from Fisher Price to Daimler Chrysler before settling in San Francisco. There he founded Pablo Designs in 1993, a lighting company specializing in refined designs that reinterpret light in its many forms.
