I was having an outdoor porch built. I had a pretty good idea of the size of fan I needed, but wanted to double check. I also live in a Hurricane/Tropical Storm prone area (Gulf Coast), so I wonted more than your 'average' outdoor rated fan. Not only did my sales rep help with the correct size, but helped check the out door ratings of the fans.
If that was not enough, she beat the manufactures price by several hundred $$ per fan.
This is not the first time Lumens has helped me out. Several years ago I purchased several under-cabinet lights for my kitchen. Back then, they helped verify the lengths/lumen output, and brightness before purchase. I am glad that type of service did not change over the years.

Fan Looks Cheap

The fan blades are made of plastic or some type of composite material that looks cheap in person. The fan's looks are not on par with its price. Additionally, the fan has support cables that attach the fan blades to the rotor. While the instructions say not to over-tighten the screws for the support cables, it fails to tell you that tightening the screws more than 2/3 will result in the screws pushing through the fan blades and being visible on the underside of the fan (see attached pictures). A fan this expensive should have the correct length screws so this doesn't happen.
On the plus side, the fan is extremely quiet. It seems well made and durable. I just wish its looks matched the price.
