Encino Mini Pendant

After installing 3 pendants above kitchen island, it was obvious that illumination of workspace below is poor. As internal LED lamp appears to be of proprietary design, it is impossible to increase illumination by changing bulbs. Told by manufacturer that "Encino mini-pendants are designed as decorative accent lighting and are not intended to serve as the primary or task lighting over a kitchen island. They are typically used alongside a separate general lighting system-such as recessed or ceiling-mounted lighting-to provide the illumination required for countertop work areas. At this time, there are no manufacturer-approved lamp options that would significantly increase the light output of the Encino fixtures beyond their published specifications." Though recessed fixtures are already installed in ceiling near pendants, need to install 2 more recessed lamps between the pendants to provide reasonable illumination of island. Published bulb color temp is also not as specified for product. As illumination by LED fixtures has dramatically improved in recent years, IMO this product needs a major redesign. Unclear what lighting application current product can serve.
