Cloud Flushmount

Inspired by the sight of a spring afternoon where plump clouds roll across the deep blue sky. The Cloud Flushmount from Mazzega 1946 keeps the eyes fixated like a cotton-candy sky, in a delightful design harnessing the legendary skills of Muranese glass artists. Coming from one of the oldest glass-making families in Murano, Italy, designer Carlo Nason celebrates the art form with visuals revered for their sensual curves. Nason evokes a cloud's wavy yet irregular silhouette with a collection of bent glass segments. Muranese artisans take the blown glass segments and arrange them dynamically over a modular metal framework. Light evokes the bright sun as it mellows through the texture-rich glass for a spacious glow.
