The Balthus Indoor/Outdoor Wall Sconce from Modern Forms draws inspiration from traditional lantern design while incorporating LED technology. Developed in 2015, this piece features an arched arm that extends from the wall to support a hooded structure containing the light source. The mouth-blown, hammered glass shade creates textural light patterns when illuminated, while the aluminum construction provides weather resistance for exterior installations. The cylindrical clear glass allows the LED to project downward while the hood prevents upward light pollution, making it suitable for environmentally conscious outdoor lighting.

My husband and I ordered two of these for our front entryway. We were looking for something a little different than the "lantern" look - yet something that wasn't too modern for our remodeled colonial home. These are perfect. Extremely good quality as well. A fantastic find!

The graphite color is lovely. The lamp diffuses beautiful light with patterns from the hammered glass. We put this light on bak deck and used the 21 inch. Very good construction and compliments our modern outdoor space.

These lights are perfect

I purchased 4 of these lights to replace my 4 exterior garage lights. They look beautiful during the day when off- but at night when they are on- is when they really shine (pun intended). The lighting on the ground is perfect and the amount of light is a perfect balance of brightness and softness. They arrived extremely well packaged as well

These are a beautiful, high quality fixture which we ordered in the graphite finish. The glass is lovely and there is no bulb with the LED to distract from the beauty of the rippled glass. A modern version of the lantern.
