The Visual Comfort collection, including pendants, chandeliers, floor lamps, and outdoor lights, incorporates natural materials and distinctive hand-applied finishes, creating a unique look and ambiance that leaves a long-lasting impression.
From such a large group of designers and master craftsmen, Visual Comfort is able to create a diverse line of products, often incorporating high-quality natural materials and distinctive, hand-applied finishes for a one-of-a-kind decorative look. As a result, the design for any given space can be pulled freely from different Visual Comfort lighting collections based on a desired look, feel and lighting effect.
In the early days of Visual Comfort, founder Andy Singer approached fashion mogul Ralph Lauren to discuss a collaboration. Though Lauren initially declined (despite being interested), their two companies eventually joined forces in 1999. Lighting designs by Visual Comfort have come through the creative minds of well-known names including Kelly Wearstler, Barbara Barry, E.F. Chapman, Kate Spade, Thomas O'Brien and Peter Bristol.
