The Modern Fan Velo Ceiling Fan is so aerodynamic, it looks like its ready to take off even when its turned off. Designed by Ron Rezek, the housing is a subtly curved cylinder into which the curved plastic blades are seamlessly integrated. Sleek, modern, easy to install, a perfect fit for our mid-ce

After much searching the Velo with light kit was the perfect choice for our mid-century/contemporary apartment. Straight forward instructions made installation uncomplicated for a do-it-yourselfer. Everything was as expected; quiet operation of the fan, completely silent at low and medium speeds and barely audible at high speed. The included blade-balancing kit was not needed. The fan ran smoothly with zero wobble from the get go. The light kit was easy to install and works very nicely with the remote control. A dresser covered the wall switch dimmer so I removed the dimmer (which would not work with the fan anyway) and installed a simple on-off switch. The remote control operates all of the functions perfectly. Great product, excellent construction and made in the USA. If this is the right look don't hesitate to buy this fan.

Love my ceiling fan! Its very modern and almost noise-free!

The only reason I don't give it a full 5-stars is because of one little detail: no reverse-button for the blades on the remote or wall unit. My ceilings are 16ft high so there's no chance I'll ever switch it to "winter-mode". I had it properly installed by an electrician and he commented on the excellent quality of the unit. There was no need to balance it all and it is whisper-quiet! We'll see how it moves the air when the heat comes...
