much larger than expected, the fluid, graceful folds of the shade are very feminine in feel. One caveat - looks much better with a clear bulb, the white of a conventional bulb is very distracting.

Beautiful but not exactly as described

We chose this fixture to place over the breakfast bar in our kitchen. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. However, the description says "hand blown glass" which led me to believe the shade was made of glass. In reality it is a flexible material, like a thick parchment. Given that it's mostly this material with some metal parts to hang it from, I think it was overpriced. You're basically paying for the design. It wasn't hard to assemble or install. It works fine with a standard 100-watt incandescent bulb, but if you are right below the fixture you can see the bare bulb. I think I will get one of those pretty incandescent bulbs to mitigate this minor issue.

Beautiful upgrade for over our dining room table. Despite being only a single bulb, it lights the large room well. You do see the bulb from below at certain angles, and so if the 72W halogen isn't dimmed that's pretty bright, but we often have it dimmed at the table and then it is less of an issue.
